Bully Dog Launches Revolutionary Truck Tuning Platform

State-of-the-art platform simplifies and speeds the custom tuning process, allowing tuners to increase efficiency and profitability

SANFORD, FLA. — Bully Dog, a renowned leader in aftermarket truck tuning products and technology, is changing the way trucks are tuned, giving shops and tuners the chance to increase volume and profits with the launch of the Bully Dog Next Gen integrated tuning ecosystem. The Bully Dog Next Gen platform replaces a collection of individual devices and software, with a single, connected and flexible system that allows vehicles to be tuned more quickly and easily.

"Since 1998, Bully Dog has been committed to improving truck and diesel engine performance, providing more power, torque, towing capability and improved fuel efficiency," said H. John Oechsle, Chairman and CEO of Derive Systems, Bully Dog's parent company. "Our team of engineers and enthusiasts have successfully designed a new solution that provides the most modern, fast and easy custom tuning system available, allowing shops to tune more trucks and expand their businesses."

The foundation of Bully Dog's Next Gen ecosystem is the PXP device, which can flash trucks up to twice as fast as competing devices and six times faster than traditional processes, saving tuners time and allowing more vehicle throughput. In addition, the PXP can work in wired or wireless environments, thanks to its support of both USB-C and Wi-Fi connections.

A single PXP unit can also flash multiple supported trucks, making it possible to tune different models without having to maintain an inventory of individual tuning devices for every job. Plus, PXP units can also be electronically updated, allowing one device to support future vehicle applications and new product features.

"Our goal was to integrate the latest technology into the aftermarket vehicle tuning process that we know so well," said Chris Maglio, VP Engineering and Compliance at Bully Dog. "What we created, was a system that can fully flash a vehicle in less than three minutes, saving over 10 minutes compared to traditional methods. We also incorporated a digital status screen in the PXP so operators can constantly monitor the status of the flash."

The core of the Bully Dog Next Gen ecosystem is a new custom tuning and data-logging software platform, ADVX. The ADVX platform includes a pair of powerful tools: ADVX Editor, which provides a modern, easy-to-use environment for making calibration adjustments, and ADVX Logger, which makes collecting, analyzing and comparing vehicle data easier than ever.

ADVX Editor provides a modern tuning workspace, enhanced 3D graphing and the ability to flash directly to a vehicle using the PXP device. ADVX Logger makes it easier to capture, visualize and compare vehicle data with customizable charts, gauges and multiple log views. Both software tools have been designed to simplify the tuning process, improve efficiency and give tuners greater control over their workflow.

Bully Dog will unveil the Next Gen ecosystem and PXP device at SEMA, November 3-6 in Las Vegas (Central Hall, Booth #23335). Bully Dog will also feature the platform in the Bully Dog booth (#2501) at PRI 2026, December 10-12 in Indianapolis.
