Fat Fender Garage Unleashes ‘GT/FX,’ Its Most Ambitious Build Yet
The 15,000-hour, 800-horsepower GT/FX represents the ultimate expression of Fat Fender Garage’s engineering, craftsmanship and performance capabilities

GILBERT, ARIZ. — Fat Fender Garage, the renowned custom truck builder and parts manufacturer, has unveiled its latest creation, “GT/FX,” a radical interpretation of a 1956 Ford F-100 that melds classic F-Series styling with the presence and performance of the modern-era Ford GT. Representing more than 15,000 hours of design, engineering and fabrication, GT/FX is the most ambitious build in the company’s history and the culmination of decades of collective experience within Fat Fender Garage.
More than a one-off Designer Series creation, GT/FX showcases the complete Fat Fender Garage ecosystem in a single vehicle. From its flagship Fat Fender Chassis platform and bespoke Fat Fender Interior to FF Performance Parts, every stage of the truck was developed and executed in-house. Final assembly, fabrication, bodywork and paint complete a vehicle designed to demonstrate the full breadth of Fat Fender Garage’s capabilities.
“GT/FX illustrates just how far we can take a classic truck,” said Jason Noel, CEO and founder of Fat Fender Garage. “We wanted to bring the attitude of a Ford GT to a ’56 F-100 and carry that idea through every aspect of the build. This truck represents the culmination of everything our team has learned and built over the years. From the chassis and interior to the performance systems, fabrication, paint and final assembly, GT/FX brings the entire Fat Fender Garage ecosystem together in one vehicle.”
Power comes from a Gen 3 Ford 5.0-liter Coyote V8 topped with a 3.0-liter Whipple supercharger, producing 800 horsepower and 750 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired with Ford’s 10R80 10-speed automatic transmission. Custom valve covers and an FFG-built three-inch exhaust with Borla XR-1 Raceline mufflers, JMD resonators and electric cutouts carry the attention to detail throughout the drivetrain. Custom HRE wheels wrapped in Toyo Proxes Sport 2 tires complete the package. GT/FX rides on the flagship FF1 Performance Coilover Chassis and was engineered to transform the dynamics of the classic F-100 and deliver handling akin to a modern supercar. The chassis and suspension prioritize precision body control, sharp cornering response and stability under both acceleration and braking, providing the engineering foundation for Fat Fender Garage’s ultimate performance vehicle.
The all-steel body was fabricated entirely by hand, with extensive metalwork reshaping the F-100’s proportions. A pancaked roof and hood, a cab sectioned by two inches, and widened front and rear fenders create a lower, broader silhouette while preserving the truck’s unmistakable identity. Custom running boards flow into the rear fenders, while a bespoke front air scoop, chin splitters and a grafted-in GT350 rear diffuser reinforce the performance-inspired styling. By design, the factory grille remains the only major exterior component left unmodified.
The custom double-walled bed features distinctive flares and a tailgate that drops at the push of a button. Flush-mounted front and rear glass, one-piece side windows, FFG carbon-fiber mirrors and custom LED rear lighting further refine the exterior. Cerakote-finished stainless bumpers, trim and hardware complement custom BASF paint and a racing stripe design painted and hand-finished in-house by Fat Fender Garage.
Inside, a fully custom black interior features premium leather detailing, custom-upholstered bucket seats and a leather dash pad. A concealed climate control system directs airflow through a hidden one-piece air vent, preserving the cabin’s clean design language. Modern gauges and audio, custom door actuators and carefully integrated comfort features bring contemporary functionality to the handcrafted cabin.
From its flagship chassis and 800-horsepower drivetrain to its handcrafted body, bespoke interior and in-house paint, GT/FX represents the complete Fat Fender Garage ecosystem. The result is a showcase of the company’s engineering, craftsmanship and performance capabilities, transforming an iconic 1956 F-100 into a machine engineered to perform beyond modern supercar standards.
