Nissan adventures into 2026 SEMA with rugged new Frontier, Pathfinder, Armada show concepts
Nissan returns to the 2026 SEMA Show with off-road concepts that reimagine a new level of capability for the brand's most iconic trucks and SUVs

LAS VEGAS — Nissan returns to the 2026 SEMA Show with off-road concepts that reimagine a new level of capability for the brand's most iconic trucks and SUVs. Designed to signpost the ways future Nissan vehicles will deliver even more of the rugged style and performance customers desire, the three concepts also are intended to inspire today's passionate owners to accessorize their own vehicles for outdoor adventure.
"Capability, confidence and off-road excitement have been core parts of the Nissan brand for decades, from rugged daily drivers to iconic desert racing victories and beyond," said Kim Less, vice president, Aftersales and Customer Loyalty, Nissan Americas. "As we look toward a future of even more capable trucks and SUVs, including an all-new Xterra, these SEMA Show concepts allow builders to unleash their creativity, while also exploring ideas and innovations that can help inform the direction for accessorizing future Nissan trucks and SUVs."
For this year's SEMA show, Nissan's special builds are based on the Frontier pickup truck, Pathfinder three-row SUV and Armada full-size SUV. These vehicles will be on display at the Nissan booth, #21521, in Central Hall at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Nov. 3-6.
Nissan Frontier RONIN Concept
The Nissan Frontier RONIN concept represents Nissan's vision for a high-performance, unstoppable off-road truck. Its name, which means "masterless warrior" in Japanese, signals both the truck's intended use case and its fearless personality. The core of its capability is a twin-turbocharged version of Frontier's 3.8-liter V6 engine, tuned to deliver more horsepower for effortless speed on nearly all terrain. Nissan TITAN suspension components widen the vehicle's track width by 12 inches and lift it by over four inches, allowing the RONIN concept to accommodate 35-inch Yokohama Geolandar X-AT tires on prototype 17-inch NISMO ASCEND beadlock wheels. A full complement of NISMO Off Road accessory parts, including rock sliders, driving lights and a spare tire carrier, plus a custom big-brake kit, round out the RONIN concept's additional horsepower. The cabin features custom sport bucket seats, additional gauges for the twin-turbo engine and custom seat belts with topographic map-inspired details.
Nissan Pathfinder XE-V6 Concept
As the Nissan Pathfinder celebrates its 40th anniversary, the XE-V6 concept looks back to the first-generation, WD21 model that attracted American customers with functional capability for weekend family adventures. Retro "XE-V6" badging recalls the original model's available 3.0-liter V6, a six-cylinder lineage that extends to the 284-horsepower (295 hp in Rock Creek) V6 in today's Pathfinder. The exterior is painted red with black, charcoal and silver stripes, referencing the vibrant graphics of 1980s-era Patrol SUVs. The XE-V6 concept extends that capability with a custom four-inch suspension lift kit, Yokohama Geolandar off-road tires on 18-inch prototype NISMO wheels, custom high-clearance off-road bumpers, a roof rack and numerous other accessories. A rear-mounted swing-out tire carrier both looks the part of an adventure vehicle and provides support for a full-size spare.
Nissan Armada Jungle Patrol Concept
The Nissan Armada Jungle Patrol concept pays homage to Nissan's rugged expedition and safari vehicles with an extensive, expedition-style transformation. It has an open-roof design with a tubular roll cage, and inwards-facing seats as befits a true safari vehicle. To handle unpredictable terrain, Armada Jungle Patrol rolls on 37-inch Yokohama Geolandar tires and features custom, long-travel suspension components. Essential protection comes from custom steel bumpers and fender flares, while NISMO Off Road lights provide additional illumination for exploring the most remote jungle environments.
Nissan says the three vehicles were created as SEMA concepts and are not for sale, but ideas explored through the builds can influence future production vehicles, as previous SEMA concepts inspired today's Rock Creek lineup. Some Nissan and NISMO accessory parts featured on the vehicles may also be available for purchase through Nissan dealerships.
